Isi artikelThe significance of this study is to figure out the notion of discourse ethics and how it takes place in the modern world. Discourse ethics as procedural discourse deals with the process of getting away from diversity toward consensus by which all people participate in decision, making about what is equally good for all in society. Discource ethics pre supposes the equality of all participants who are involved in a multilateral dialogue. The condition of establishing procedure is communicative action by which all take responsibility to the question : what do I do that would be good for others as it would be good for me? This is what Habermas calls universalizable principle. The question of "What is equally good for all?" must pass the test of reason and justice. This test serves as the foundation of modern society.
