The problems and challenges in the globalization era are bulkier and more complex. The special trait of the new era is the rapid changes in the society and the mondial competition. In order to survive in the new era it is a must for every member of the society to develop their professionalism. The point of departure of the present paper is macro econom but the implications are micro, i.e : things to consider in the preparation of the Indonesian manpower to face the global economy.
