Abstract
This article redefines law as a dynamic and adaptive social construct shaped by technological, cultural, and political transformations rather than a static normative system. Drawing on interdisciplinary insights from the sociology of law, post-classical science, and legal behavior studies, it critiques the classical legal paradigm for its inability to address contemporary challenges such as digitalization, social movements, and shifting societal values. The study employs a normative legal research method with a prescriptive approach, analyzing primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. It emphasizes the growing disconnect between law in books and law in action, advocating for an empirical, humancentered, and context-sensitive understanding of law. The article highlights how digital technologies such as AI, e-commerce, and social media are reshaping legal subjectivity, enforcement, and social expectations. It calls for legal systems to move beyond formalism and procedural certainty toward models that embrace complexity, inclusivity, and adaptability. Ultimately, law must be seen as a living instrument of social cohesion, continuously interpreted, contested, and redefined by the society it governs.
