| This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the impact of Desa Wisata Pampang, a community-based tourism (CBT) village in the Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, Indonesia, on the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Employing a mixed-methods case study approach, this research synthesizes qualitative data from stakeholder interviews and field observations with quantitative socio-economic data to evaluate the village's contributions. The study finds that the CBT model in Pampang has catalyzed significant, multi-dimensional progress, most notably towards SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) through direct job creation, poverty reduction, and cultural preservation. Furthermore, it identifies tangible contributions to SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 15 (Life on Land) while also highlighting persistent challenges related to infrastructure, market access, and environmental management. The research concludes that Desa Wisata Pampang serves as a potent, replicable model for leveraging tourism as a vehicle for sustainable rural development, though its long-term success depends on enhanced multi-stakeholder collaboration and strategic investment. |
