| This study aims to develop an English for Specific Purposes (ESP)-based online training module to improve teachers’ English presentation skills. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) study adapting the ADDIE model. However, it only covered the analysis, design, and development stages. The participants of this study are 60 teachers from Banten and East Nusa Tenggara who participated in the English Language Improvement for Teachers’ Excellence (ELITE) program. The findings from the needs analysis were collected through a needs analysis questionnaire, and they showed that speaking was found to be the most important English skill (32.5%) and the most desired skill to improve (38.7%), while English for public speaking and presentations was identified as the most needed English competency (28.7%). Moreover, teachers also reported challenges to vocabulary (27.7%), grammar and structural understanding (22.2%), and speaking fluency and confidence (16.7%). Based on these findings, an ESP-based online training module to enhance teachers’ presentation skills was designed and developed. The module consists of three units focusing on presentation structure, speech delivery skills, and presentation practice with self and peer feedback. The expert judgement results indicated that the developed training module was appropriate and well-structured, with minor revisions suggested for improvement. |
