The Indonesia Partnership Fund (IPF) for HIV and AIDS was launched in 2005 as a multi-donor funding mechanism with the primary goal of establishing an effective and sustainable multi-sectoral response to the HIV and AIDS epidemic in Indonesia. The primary purpose of the IPF was to increase capacity to halt and begin to reverse the spread of HIV/AIDS infection among core transmitters and in areas of concentrated epidemic transmission.
