Coronary calcification is a subclinical condition that may cause coronary artery disease (CAD). The main issue of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is the intermitten hypoxemia which is an important stimulus to increase morbidity and mortality in cardiovascular disease. In this study we investigate the male OSA patients with abnormal calcium score (Ca score) to predict CAD. Methods: This study included 74 OSA men who were underwent dual source 64-slice computed tomography scanner and were diagnosed as having abnormal Ca score (e•10). The diagnosis of CAD was determined by previous medical examination using treadmill and coronary CT scan. Results: There were 14 people who were diagnosed as having CAD out of 74 male OSA subjects with abnormal Ca score. Cut off point Ca score higher than76,4 could be used as a predictor for CAD with OR 13, Relative Risk 92,85%, sensitivity 92,86%, specificity 50%, Likelihood ratio (+, LR+) 1,85, LR(-) 0,14 Conclusion: Ca score with cut off point more than 76,4 has a risk 13 times higher to become CAD in OSA men.
