Some forms of solar still which have been tested were designed to adjust to the selected prototype from literature study. Dimensions of still basin were considered as the essential parameter and the type of solar still were newly developed ones. Still basin were positioned perpendicular to incoming sunlight waves. Jakarta as the location of conducted research is at 6.0835 degrees to the south altitude and the earth inclines for 23.5 degrees, then still basin surface were elevated 60.42 degrees. During daytime, humidity varied from 55% to 70% and wind velocity was significantly high affected most of the results. The highest temperature rise was 60 degrees and pure water volume measured for at least 12 hours vary from 100 milliliters to 250 milliliters. The efficiency of condensing system was relatively high from 80% to 100%. The overall efficiency of solar still was very low, the highest reach was only 10%. The overall efficiency be the unexpected achievement therefore the research is to be continued to find the most significant forms.
