Prematurity is still an important health problem in obstetry. This condition has potential to improves perinatal morbidity which is generally related to low birth weight. Nowadays, ultrasonography as a predictor of preterm labor had been used frequently, with various indicators, include the length of uterine cervix, the thickness of chorioamniotic membranes and Doppler of umbilical artery. It is concluded that ultrasonography for the prediction of preterm labor is less expensive thab biochemical markers examination, and more effi cient because the conclusion can be made immediately after examination.
