Isi artikelThe study is a basic research that aims to get a picture of student interest in entrepreneurship undergraduate programs Sanata Dharma. The research can be useful to provide on overview of entrepreneurial interest among undergraduate students of Sanata Dharma so that it can be used by the undergraduate programs of Sanata Dharma in designing their entrepreneurship curriculum, and can be used by the University of Sanata Dharma in developing policies and programs related to the utilization of student entrepreneurship opportunities program developed by the Directorate General of Higher Education. The research was conducted on the first half of FY 2009/2010. The sample of the study are 770 active students on the second semester of FY 2009/2010 from 23 undergraduate programs at the University of Sanata Dharma. Sampling was done by quota sampling technique. The research is a descriptive research (descriptive/exploratory research) using questionnaire data collection instrument. The data analysis using descriptive analysis of the percentage. The results of the research indicates that the students who show their interest to entrepreneurship reach more than 50%. Related gender, there aer more than 50% of students, both men and women interest in entrepreneurship. Related to educational background, there are more than 75% students who are taking educational and non-educational courses are interested in entrepreneurship. Related to academic achievement, there is more than half of students who have GPA from 2.50 to 2.99 and GPA <2.50 are interested in entrepreneurship. The students who had no interest in entrepreneurship are more common on students who have GPA >=3.00. Entrepreneurship decision related to the status of subjects indicates that more than half of students on every groups are interested in entrepreneurship. Regarding the status of business ownership, more than 20% students who have, or are not yet take a course in entrepreneurship already have their own business and more than half of them do not have theri own business. This study will recommend the need for further studies, especially relating to the change of student interest in entrepreneurship into physica efforts of trying or starting independent business.
