This collaborative action research focus on improving quality of learning processes and result through implementation of classroom based assessment. Research subject are fourth grade social studies students of Samirono Elementary Public School Yogyakarta. The research is divided into two cycles where each of them has four steps: planning, action, observation and reflection. Difference between the two cycles is that the second cycle depends on the result of first cycle. Result of the research shows that implementation of classroom based assessment could improve students learning quality both processes and result. Nevertheless, there are many aspects that still need to be corrected and improved. One of the problems was teacher performance. Teacher said in reflection session that she was wrought up, because the coming of observer and researcher in her class. Impact of her stress, there is a learning activity that gone beyond. Besides her feeling, the teacher also still dominantly implemented chalk and talk method. It could cut off the development of students' creativity. Based on reflection of first cycle, in second cycle we make breakthrough with writing teaching scenario in detail that teacher could read it along her teaching processes. In order to optimalize students' creativity, in second cycle is used project method. Every group of students has to make a replica of transportation vehicle. Many actions that we did could improve the quality of learning processes and result to be higher than first cycle.
