The Indonesian goverment needs to assist Indonesian enterprise, which are facing problems in competition with Chinese, in their effort to enhance their competitiveness, by temporarily providing needed facilities, based on " the infant industry argument". This is done until they are able to compete with the Chinese enterprises. Assistance to those enterprises is also reasonable because their competitors, the Chinese enterprises, have for a long time received big subsidies from the Chinese goverment. And let the Indonesian enterprises, which are actually not able to increase their efficiency and competitiveness go out of business. Indonesia has to exploit well the very good opportunity available in ACFTA, for increasing its economic growth and welfare, due to sompetition and access to a huge market provided by ACFTA.
