Isi artikelThe concept of diffusion and adoption of innovations has served as a strong basis for communication strategies in the various parts of the third world. Learning from this communication model, developing countries of Asia have come up with four different communication strategies, namely the Oryu Li Self Suffi cient Project (South Korea), the Comilla Community Training Development Center (Bangladesh), the Development Support Communication Model (India) and the Commune Re-education and Ruralization Program (People's Republic of China). Development programs for self reliant industrialization are apparently best served by a social communication strategy, because it enables its community members to solve their own problems.
