One of important subjects in the process of reaching educational goal is mathematic. However, in the process of reaching the goal is oftenly blocked with students' ability mastering mathematics concept. The method learning type which applied by the teacher has not optimalized students' mastery of mathematic yet. Based on the fact, it is conducted a research about the effectiveness of cooperative learning model use Numbered Heads Together type (NHT) towards students’ learning outcome of grade XI IPA concerning on the polinom subject. The research is conducted to know wheter the students’ outcome learning grade XI IPA-1 using learning cooperative typr NHT will be better than students’ outcome learning grade XI IPA-2 using conventional learning model. This Research used semi-experiment research method, it is used to know how is the effectiveness of cooperative learning Numbered Heads Together type (NHT) compared with the effectiveness of individual learning ((assignment/lecture model). The students from two classes who have the same ability will be taken as the research object, one is using cooperative learning and the other class is using individual learning. The result of the research shows that the students’ outcome learning grade XI IPA-1, as a treatment group get 67,65% of learning completeness, while students grade XI IPA-2 as a control group get only 35,14% of learning completeness. This shows that cooperative learning with Numbered Heads Together type more effective than conventional learning (assignment/lecture). Especially for polinum.
