Isi artikel
Navy Secretary Ray Mabus is betting that the service will get half its energy from renewables by 2020. To achieve its 50% renewables goal by 2020, the Navy is taking a two-pronged approach. First it plans to invest heavily in the advanced biofuel industry and help drive down the price of next-generation biofuel until it becomes competitive with oil. Next, it is making its planes, ships, bases, and equipment as energy efficient as possible.
