Isi artikelThis article is prompted by the question of whether or not the process of language learning in secondary schools impairs intelligence and creativity on the part of the students. Two cases, one dealing with Indonesian and the other English, are investigated to arouse awarness of the need to pay attention to child's develepoment in language learning. Brain development will be discussed to be followed by : a) discussion on the need of error correction and b) a presentation of various techniques to prepare materials that will enhance intelligence and creativity.
