Abstract
Translating digital text such as for websites or apps is complicated. A translator of UX writing should consider words or phrases that can represent the same meaning as the source language. However, translators are not only translating a text. They have to conduct research before and after their product is made. In reality, research is not included during the process. As a result, the reader cannot perceive the text easily. They do not find the content helpful. The present study evaluates an Indonesian mobile application's user-centered English translation (UCT). Usability testing that involves end-user and heuristic is employed to gather insights and to validate. Login and GoFood pages are used for analysis. The researcher will work as the evaluator and recruit three Indonesian participants or end-users to gather insights on the app's translation. The evaluation shows that users tend to skim information, although it is essential. It also points out that clear visualizations such as icons, shapes, illustrations, or colors can support translation. Besides, plain language can help shape the understanding of the product used more so users can follow the instructions easily.
