Operational & Maintenance in the GSM telco industry or, more popular, called Managed Services has 2(two) main activities, i.e., Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Curative Maintenance (CM). The CM is recorded on the Trouble Ticket (TT) management system. The analyzing the TT and PM can optimize the performance availability (PA). When the PA is getting worse, it must review the most contributed TT and find out what conditions the sites are by reviewing the PM data. Perhaps it has got many problematic sites. The manager must plan some scenario: instantly by weekly action point, medium plan for monthly activities and annual projects. This Thesis describes how to prepare the quick solution as the weekly 1st action. Analysing the TT data compared to the PM database, selecting the small number of specific sites for battery replacement, is giving the improvement of performance availability significantly. Installing 76 battery banks at 50 sites gives significant improvement of 0.12% performance availability. It is a low cost which can be covered by operational costs which are executed in a week. This result will be a part of the Minute of Meeting (MoM) of the current weekly meeting, and the action point will be done and reported at the next weekly meeting. |
