The major changes which currently happen in the world of organization, are forcing us to question conventional way of thinking. Organizational culture is one of several efforts to question those traditional assumptions about organization. There are a number of versions which try to explain the emergence of culture. Far east challenges, downturn in western countries economies, changes in political, ideological and technological environment are parts of practical reasons that often mentioned. At the theoritical level, the following reasons are often quoted in many occassions : - the emergence of post modern approach in social science also affects organization studies (see cooper and burrell 1988) - the related issues of the scholarly and ideological implications of selective borrowing of key concepts from one discipline by other field of study (meek, 1988) - inadequacy of current approach in explaining the new issues (see pondy and mitroff, 1979, and also reed 1992).
