Single and married students differ in some respects but not in others in their adjustments to and satisfaction with their roles as students. The differences found by this study relate to living conditions, economic concerns, and study quarters; similarities relate to time spent studying and academic achievement. Within the married group, no clear relationship appears between marital adjustment and academic achievement.
