Isi artikel
The ??lactose obtained in the formof a monohydrate phase with moisture content of 5.0 % is typically used in wet granulation formulation. The ?-lactose as an anhydrous phase is used as direct compression ingredient. The determination of ?-anomer in mixture of ? lactose and ?-lactose based on the strong dehydration endotherm of ?-anomer taking place a peak maximum temperature of 144.05?C with 153.8 J/g of energy by differential scanning calorimetry The validation of analytical method were carried out with the correlation coefficient of the linear equation is 0.999 as well as the experimental result proved that is precise, accurate. In summary, DSC method may be used to quantify the amount of ?-lactose monohydrate in mixtures and blends with the anhydrous ?-lactose.
