Change is an crucial issue in today's dynamic business environment,. However, environmental uncertainties may tend to make knowledge-based economies be the establishment of effective mechanisms. Therefore, how to get resources within organization become more important in business operation. Although a large number of studies have been made on coordination, little is known about how to approach the coopetition that promises benefits for firm. This paper will investigates coordination mechanisms in knowledge sharing that simultaneous cooperation and competition between firms. So far, the coopetition issue has been superficial. Therefore, the study demonstrates that coopetition is challenging that is very helpful to the firm. It will address major technological challenges to create profits of partnering. This paper intends to examine the concepts, issues, and trends related to coopetition. Finally, a conceptual model for coopetition will be proposed.
