Besides the many short courses in Quality tools and concepts globally, formal academic qualifications in Quality Management are still relatively sparse. As Quality strives for recognition as a profession in its own right it is becoming increasingly important that national quality bodies and tertiary education institutes can meet the resulting educational demand with qualifications in Quality that reflect local culture and global business trends. In this presentation, we review global course offerings in Quality Management and describe the structure of quality education in New Zealand as offered by the New Zealand Organisation for Quality in partnership with Massey University.
