Nowadays the paradigm of business world is expected to not only look for profits, but also care for the ethical activities and must play roles in creating social investment as the implementation of the corporate social responsibility (CSR). The purpose of this research is to know the responsibility of the CNOOC corporate to the society who lives in the surrounding of the company (Pulau Kelapa, Kepulauan Seribu). This research used qualitative methods with descriptive analysis. The result shows that PT. CNOOC has implemented the community development activities as their CSR to the society. It is concluded that CSR is a developing concept along with the view of how the business world makes some interaction with society for the sake of their better life.
