Isi artikel
Knowledge exists with every-one in both forms - (Explicit- visible, and Tacit – un-visible). While explicit knowledge can be shared, it is difficult to share the tacit knowledge as it is highly invisible and confined in the persons mind. The increased number of retiring/ transferred employees resulting in loss of knowledge in critical areas, triggered the challenge to us at the Knowledge Management Group at Tata Steel, India for developing an end to end process K-EDGE - a five stage process starting “from team formation stage” to the “knowledge capturing stage” for capturing the ‘Expert knowledge’ both in the Tacit & Explicit form. The process helps in retention of knowledge of the experts at the work place and in development of new people who would take the journey forward.
