Isi artikelThe Indian textile industry is a traditional, robust, well-established industry, enjoying considerable demand in the domestic as well as global markets. With increasing global competition and evolving consumerism it is becoming a must to adopt best practices and to be innovative. Employees have set pat theories in mind that does not allow changing traditional approach, and try to adopt new methodologies. At Arvind Limited’s Denim Fabric Division, an exclusive Continuous Improvement Team with experts specialized in various concepts of continuous improvement was formed with an intention to enable employees to work on improvements in a sustainable method. This paper describes the strategy and method that the team has developed in achieving the goal of sustainable improvements continuously and gain results over a period of time.
