Service processes with binary output exist in real industries. Examples for multistage service processes with binary data and profiles with binary output are introduced in this paper. Statistical process control techniques have been applied in monitoring service processes. This paper reviews these techniques, which are applied in the analysis for different types of service data. In addition, a detailed review on multistage processes and profiles with numerical data is presented, and then the new challenges in service processes with binary outputs are shown. Furthermore, we propose models for modeling multistage processes with binary data and profiles with binary output and random predictors, and new control schemes are briefly described. Future research is discussed in the final part.
