Autism is a brain function disorder which includes social and affection, communication, imagination, flexibility, cognition, and attention. Autism is abnormality of delay growing of social and verbal. Perception is an early identification and interpretation to stimulation based on the information received by sensor. The research aims at knowing how the perception of the mother to their autism children in their social growth. This research was held in SD Luar Biasa Dian Kusuma Green Garden West Jakarta, from November 2008 to January 2009. This research shows that there are 29 respondents who have positive perceptions toward the autism children and their social growth and the other 7 respondents have the negative perception.
