Systematic is a science which study description, identification, nomenclature, and relationship between ancestor and living organism. It plays an important role to know the variously organism on the earth. The objective of this study is to know the phylogenetic and the various obstacles that cause slowly phylogenetic development in Indonesia. The method of this paper is based on literature study. The result was that the Darwin's theory of evolution led to the development of systematic in the world became faster than before. The phylogenetic study would be interesting to learn with molecular data because molecular data (genome or protein) is more informative than morphological. Many countries support the phylogenetic research by providing a greater allocation of funds on their scientist activities. Various constraints in phylogenetic development in Indonesia is a conservative attitude, wrong method of teaching in schools and colleges, little literature in Indonesian, curiosity low against the development of science and limited research funding
