The Al Raniri and Al-Sinkili were famous as Orthodox Muslim who were eager to purify the Islamic system from sufic teaching or well-known as the reformers to Islamic ways of thinking during they stayed in Acehnese or North Sumatra. Their thoughts tried to make the tasauf in line with Syariat. The objective of this article is to discuss the different approach of the Al-Raniri and Al-Sinkili thoughts which related and suitable from the Islamic point of view. The method used descriptive analytical compared to Al-Raniri approach in reforming the Islamic teaching.
