Technological development makes electrical signals from the human heart muscle activity can be measured. Instrument for recording electrical signals of human heart called electrocardiograph or ECG (sometimes called EKG). This research build an integrated ECG using computer. This instrument is useful to monitor and diagnose heart conditions, detect heart health, and determine the type of heart disease based on the wave shape, duration, orientation, and rhythm of the ECG signal. Normally ECG signal consists of a PQRST wave. ECG signal has twelve kinds of wave forms, consisting of twelve leads. To obtain twelve ECG waves is using the method of Einthoven triangle’s, consisting of lead I-III, the method of Wilson Network, consisting of lead V1-V6, and the method of Goldberger, consisting of lead aVR, aVL, and aVF. The design of ECG system consists of surface electrode sensor, instrumentation amplifier, analog filter, and summing amplifier. Output system is processed in microcontroller module and computer. From the test results can be concluded that the design of ECG system can record and display the twelve leads of cardiac electric signals properly.
