Traditional market, in this time, start to lose their customer because they fail to compete with the modern market in several point like supermarket or minimarket that spread in every corner, where as the traditional market is the activator of economic for the small and medium community. One of solution that can be used to increase the competitiveness value of traditional market is by redesign its layout according to customer need. Design of that traditional market with modern taste can be analyzed with several approach. Structural Equation Model is method that can be used to describes all variables that influence customer in shopping. Clustering analysis is used to group the object by classify them according to their heterogeneity and homogeneity. In this case clustering method will be used to group the consumer and seller in the same time so the redesign process will be more efficient. Finally, the traditional market layout will be redesign based on Market Basket Analysis method, where the linkages of each stand can be analyzed so that facilitate the costumer in purchase flow. The expected result of this research are the variables that influence costumer interest to going shopping in traditional market, clustering the sellers, and for the last it can redesign the market layout based on its clustering resulted that can fulfill the customers need, so that the traditional market can be competed with the modern market.
