Politeknik Manufaktur (POLMAN) Bandung as a vocational institution ran the production practical program, a ‘model’ which carries on production activities like real industry that involving students, laboratory assistances/ workers and middle management staffs. The customers of this program are the real industry practitioners that make QCD (quality, cost & delivery) obligation is a must. This model runs by relevant departments such as UPM (unit pelayanan masyarakat) for marketing, UPT Logistic for purchasing and materials storing/ handling, and Mechanical Engineering (ME) Department for fabrication or products manufacturer. ‘Job Shop’ is one product kind besides batch and mass that dominates Polman production capacity frequently, which in many cases has specific problems in customer scope of demand such like ‘turn key’ inquiry of job. It’s not seldom that this ‘turn key’ job pushed Polman to take number of DIES although some or one of it is out of capacity from machines dimension side, therefore it has to be done by third party/ subcontractor. Project Management Approach with using some project management tools will be very helpful in executing job with such condition since its similar characters like project. One PIC (person in charge) has to be assigned and responsibled as a project manager. PIC tasks will be not only at operational level but also controlling the mildstone of all entities in supply chain components (vendor, logistic, production, sales, customer). Resources managing that involved in all production activity series will be done better due to easier in communicating and coordinating than conventional way.
