Currently, notebook or laptop is not a luxury appliance anymore. Almost everyone can have it. It is because of the affordable price. However, the notebook users are mostly not satisfied with the sort age of its battery. It is due to continuous charging that is applied to the battery. In this work, a microcontroller based device is created thet can extend a notebook battery age. When the battery in the notebook needs to be charged the device automatically will charge the battery up to full then it will stop charging the battery. The notebook and the device will be connected by serial communication.
