The Focus of this article is pneumatological foundations of christian mission. My thesis is that the work of the Holy Spirit in creation, redemption and eschatological salvation is central to christian mission theology. Theology of mission is thus approached both in terms of the missio Dei more generally and the missio spiritus more specifically. This argument for a pneumatologial missiology is attentive to recent trends and developments in both theological and missiological literature. In conclusion, practical implications of such a pneumatologically oriented theology of mission are explored.
