Familistic attitude scores were established for 137 respondents of Christian Arab heritage of Ramallah, Palestine (presently occupied Jordan). Most of the respondents were living in their original hometown, Ramallah, while the remainder were living in the United States. The findings tended to indicate that the Ramallah people are quite familistic. However, when a comparison was made between the familistic attitudes of those living in Ramallah with those who migrated to the United States, the findings indicated that those who migrated or were born in the United States were more familistic than those who continued to live in the original culture. When the variables sex, age, and education were introduced into the relationship, the results tended to suggest similarity of affect on the familistic attitude between the Ramallah people living in the United States and those living in Ramallah in some instances, and differences in others.
