Isi artikelSuccessful communication is done consciously by someone who loves, thinks, and behaves good by considering not only about what is going to say but also when, why, how and who to communicate with. Thus, actually ELT already contains character education in it. However it can fail if there are errors in deciding the objectives of learning, selecting the inputs and activities and managing the process of teaching and learning. There are positive and negative purposes in doing communication. The positive ones are the communication done to get good effects while the negative ones are the communication done to get bed effects. However, the positive beginnings are not guaranteed to produce positive endings and negative beginnings do not always produce negative endings. Both may produce positive endings depend on the selection of input and the process of delivering the activities. Negative or positive inputs can be positive output if they are built by implementing character education in it.
