Morality and values cannot be separated from the purpose of education. Education should be able to shape the students into human beings having good morality. Despite their being important, morality and value education have been neglected in the education system. Education systems in Indonesia put too much emphasis on the cognitive aspects. Consequently, they systems fail to shape students having good characters. The paper tries to show how and why role-playing can be used as means of instilling values. Instilling values through role-playing is a fun way of shaping the character of our students.
