Abstract
Developing a business in an ever-changing and digital era becomes a challenge for leaders to determine one's leadership and communication styles that are best fit for their company. Start-up company becomes the trendsetter in today's business world that not only make new and innovative business model but also new leadership styles. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the leadership communication in increasing employee's performance. This research hopes to give a better understanding about the role of leadership communication and helps in developing better communication strategies best fit for PT. Young On Top Inspirasi Nusantara.
The main theories used in analysing the data is the leadership styles theory, interpersonal and group communication, as well as the performance evaluation theory. This research uses a qualitative approach that stand on three point of views which is a RikiSonjaya as the General Manager of PT. Young On Toplnspirasi Nusantara through a descriptive in-depth interview; the employees through group interview in a focus group discussion; and a textual analysis on the media. Based on the analysis, the General Manager able to communicate by guiding and motivate the employee. The employees work well through events that have been held and raising trust from many stakeholders as the event grows to many places around Indonesia. The small team needs to get expand as the workload getting bigger and the responsibilities grows heavier. Although, both leader and the employees need to build more communication each other to gain the mutual understanding.
