Isi artikel
Beginning with 1913, a sample of marriage applications in several Ohio counties for every tenth year was compared with the applicant's birth certificates. The findings suggested that the rate of age falsification for both sexes had remained rather constant from decade to decade until 1963, when marked increases for both sexes were 'noted. A ten percent sample of the same countries, for every year from 1954 to 1963, ind;rated that an increase in falsification of ages by both sexes began in the late 1950's. It is suggested that there may be more teen-age marriages occurring today than national data report.
