Abstract
The development of information technology is one of instruments that changes the way of people earn informations. People earn information is not only from conventional media, such as TV, radio, and newspapers, which is not interactive. The opposite side, internet provides the easier, more opened, and interactive way.E-learning is one of virtual medias that provides its user to have scope and wider space, especially students.
Y University puts self-center learning, where student can study at home independently. Teacher can put the subjects to learn in a video, then later students can study effectively anywhere. Quizzes and reading materials will be uploaded as well.This research intends to calculate how far teachers and students of Y University to face the university process with e-learning. That calculation has 5 main dimensions that affect the perception of how ready they are with e-learning system. Those 5 main dimensions are Computer Self Efficacy, Self Directed Learning, Learner Control, Motivation, and Online Communication Efficacy. Those five dimensions will be affected by many indicators. Through this research, those indicators will be analyzed and accurately will calculate each of those dimensions so that will produce a valid answer to the readiness of e-learning. And it also proves will the difference of sex, GPA, and faculty affect significantly to how ready students to fave the e-learning system.
Data of respondents that collected will be proceed with confirmatory factor analysis method and count the mean score based on selected indicator, then MANOVA method to multivariate test in order to researching background influence against how ready they are with e-learning.
The result of research shows that based on selected indicators, students and teachers in Y University are ready to use the e-learning system in the learning process. Sex, faculty, and GPA factors don't affect the students' and teachers' readiness with e-learning in Y University.
