Abstract
A roof is part of a building envelope, it is the covering on the uppermost part of a buildingand occupants underneath from weather effects. Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride (UPVC) roof profile that many found iscorrugated roofing sheets which is produced by extrusion.One exampleof UPVC roof isTR 955, produced byPT. Intec Persada with 100 part of PVC resin and 75 part filler composition. An experimental testing of material characterization and finite element simulation are requiredso it can be known whether the roof structure provides good performance or not. Through tensile test and flammability testing, UPVC roof samples are known to have the strength according to the standard and also safe because it self-extinguishing. The results of theoretical calculations showUPVC roof structure is safe based on stress analysis and deflection against people's load and weather effects. Another thing to know is how to install roofing sheets in the correct way. Finite element method with modeling and simulation results through ANSYSMechanical softwaregenerate installation ofUPVC roofing sheetsthick 1,2 mm and 1,48 mm with distance between purlin 0,6 - 1,2 m areable to use.
