Taiwan Technology is massing behind the e-reader craze. The bestseller is Scott Liu's Prime View International. The success of Amazon.com's "most gifted" electronic book reader, Kindle, and its gathering number of rivals has not been lost on Taiwan. In fact, the e-reader, a $1 billion market in 2009 expected to better than double this year, has fast become a cottage industry for the island economy, which aims to produce 80% of the component value of the devices by 2013.
