Abstract
Clean water is a basic of human’s need and its environment. Residents in remote areas still use conventional methods to move water from the lake to the dwelling. The limitation of electrical energy are the problem, unlike in big cities that use electric pumps as a means to move water. The purpose of this design is to design and make prototypes of piston pumps as a hydram pump feeder with benefits to be used as literature and community service review to help residents living in the surrounding area who are difficult to reach clean water availability. The design stage undertaken is determining the important factors in the design of the piston pump, the material grouping used by the piston pump, the design of the piston pump form, the detailed design accompanied by the technical specifications and the required calculations before the embodiment of the piston pump is performed. The design result and the embodiment of the tool must meet the user requirements list and can run the function of the tool efficiently. The water discharge generated by the piston pump depends on the speed and availability of wind energy under actual conditions. The maximum water flow generated by the piston pump is 2.1 liters/sec.The water flow in the actual form of the pump becomes 21 liters / second, can meet the needs of a population of 200 people.
