Abstract
PD. Ratih Jaya is a company engaged in manufacturing of food industry that produces pepper. Where almost all processes still use human skills or material handling to do work.Because most processes are still using human skills, the higher possibility of injury to the worker.This study aims to analyze the risk of ergonomics work posture of operator in doing work. Researchers use Quick Exposure Check dan Chaffin’s Planar Static Model methods.Quick Exposure Check is a method for assessing posture and repetitive body work movements,and can evaluate the position of several parts of the body such as the back, shoulders or arms, hands or wrists and neck so that values can be known for each part of the body.Output of the Quick Exposure Check method is Action Level that stating handling actions that need to be carried on the work posture.The output of the Chaffin Planar Static Model methodis a compression force that states how dangerous work posture are.The results of this study indicate that the action level obtained using the Quick Exposure Check method is action level 4 which means that the work posture is dangerous and needs to be corrected as quickly as possible.Improvements are made to work stations that have the highest exposure level, that is the carriagework station.The results obtained using the Chaffin’s Planar Static Model on the actual work posture of the carriagework station are a compression force is 4096.56 N and the the proposed working posture of work station is 1355.72 N.
