Background: Chronic sinusitis is a nasal inflammation and paranasal sinus that has two or more symptoms, which are blocking nose due to congestion, presence of secrete, facial pain or decreasing smell sensation for more than 10 days without any improvement of the clinical symptoms. There are a lot of etiologies and one of them is anatomy variation, such as deviated nasal septal. Anamnesis, physical examinations and diagnostic examination need to be done in order to diagnose the source of infection of sinusitis accurately. Diagnostic instrument CT scan is recommended because it can show the bone structure and sensitive in detecting the swollen mucosal. The purpose of this study is to know whether there is a correlation between deviated nasal septum and chronic sinusitis in paranasal sinus CT scan. Method: The study is done retrospectively. The data are taken from medical record and CT scan result of 24 sinusitis patients and 24 patients without sinusitis. Result: This study is meaningful statistically with p-value p=0,043. Also, there are 43,5% patients suffered from bilateral maxillary sinusitis, 26,1% right maxillary sinusitis, 21,7% left maxillary sinusitis, and 8,7% pansinusitis.
