Isi artikelDespite its size, languages spoken in Brunei Darussalam are numerous compared to its relatively small geographical and demographic scale. At least, there are eight Austronesian languages spoken throughout this country. Holding to the fact, it is inevitable that some of the languages and dialects are dying out while some are exposed to extinction. To most scholars, globalization is the focal contributor to this dark scenario but nevertheless, it is also undoubted that some other factors may as well play their roles in worsening the condition. It is the amalgamation of these factors within a certain language usage that should be reconsidered and to be looked into by many, either by scholars or the related authorities. Regarding to that, this paper will outline the phenomena of endangered languages usage via its deixis system.
