Management plays an important role in the organization's efforts to improve its performance. An organization can produce the desired performance in effectively and efficiently manner when it was managed by using managerial skill properly. The objective of this research is to examine the relationship between counselor's management knowledge and effectiveness of guidance and counseling service. The research was conducted in public high secondary schools in Jakarta. The samples were 40 counselors from 14 schools that choosen randomly from the population of 400 counselors from 117 schools. Data were collected by questionnaires and were analyzed by simple regression and correlation techique. the results show that counselor's management knowledge has a positive and significant relationship with their school effectiveness of guidance and counseling service.
