Over the period of the last15 years, the stateof the Kadazandusun language has undergonemajor progression that includes the making of a trilingual Kadazan Dusun–Malay–English dictionary. This article also relates to the impact the language situation has had on changing attitudes toward mother-tongue use in the Kadazandusun community.
