Abstract
Background: A doctor is expected to have cognitive abilities, communication skills and empathy. Oral assessment is used to assess cognitive abilities, clinical skills, problem solving skills and communication skills. Oral assessment in Indonesia is Students Oral Case Assessment (SOCA). SOCA is used by FKUAJ and it is a high stakes assessment, a prerequisite for graduate from school of medicine.
Objectives: To find an appropriate rubric for assess FKUAJ’s SOCA
Methods: This research is a qualitative research using Delphi method. The data were collected by giving questionnaires to 30 experts with maximum of 3 rounds. The results of data collection that calculated is with rate of agreement =70%. If the rate of agreement <70%, the results of the previous questionnaire are used as a reference for questionnaire next round.
Results: The components to be assessed from each year have reached the rate of agreement. The weight of the assessment that have reached the rate of agreement are 38% for first year medical students, 54% for second year of medical students, 77% for third year of medical students. Rubric assessment for FKUAJ’s SOCA is a spesific rubric.
Conclusions: The appropriate rubric for FKUAJ’s SOCA assessment is a spesific rubric.
